About me
I joined Upstate AHEC in October 2022 as a Health Careers Coordinator, bringing with me a background in healthcare administration and nonprofit leadership. My career has included a variety of roles that have allowed me to serve and support communities across South Carolina. I have worked as the South Carolina Regional Outreach Coordinator, an Adjunct Professor at Greenville Technical College, and held positions with Greenville County Schools, the Cancer Centers of the Carolinas, and the Trauma Center Emergency Room at Greenville Memorial Hospital. I also served with the South Carolina Election Commission as a Poll Manager. I hold a Master’s degree in Health Services Administration from Strayer University and a Bachelor’s degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology from South Carolina State University. I am a Certified Community Health Worker, a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), a Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF), and I also hold a certification in Grant Writing from the University of South Carolina. I am an active member of the Association for Career and Technical Education and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, Epsilon Tau Omega Chapter. I have been happily married to my husband, Patrick Johnson, for 29 years, and we are the proud parents of two adult children, McKenna and Pierce.
